Ms Komachi is rather lucky with her extra suggestions. How could she have known that the description of plants (and worms) above and below ground would lead Ryou to consider a parallel career? She did give a little hint with the felt cat and the paper with the interview of the cats bookshop owner, but success was not at all certain.

Question:

Could Hina be the girl in the first chapter who came to the computer lessons at the community center to learn how to build an online shop?

Another relaxing chapter where all the threads came together very nicely. They even got engaged! I’m not overthinking the librarian thing, there’s clearly something a bit magical about her that allows her to know the answer not just to their main question, but the bigger questions they haven’t asked. I like the trope that they all get a book recommendation, and a little handicraft, and that both are key pointers in helping them get to where they need to go.

Week 8 done (catching up slowly…!)

Trying to keep this short, since my comments are usually book-length...

It does seem magical how Komachi-san has just the right thing for the person in need. I kind of like that feeling that somehow fate or destiny is guiding people to her…

I wondered about the other students in the computer class too. Now that I think about it, there were also two older men in the minerals class Hina took at the Hatori Community House…

I also like that Hina had her red seaglass and Ryo had his teaspoon. And it makes me wonder why I don’t have a talisman (?) in my pocket. It may help with my 運命…

追伸: I really enjoy the reward of reading everyone’s comments after finishing a section. :man_bowing:

And I’ve just finished week 8 too! I’m finding this a good level for reading.

Only comment would be, that while I get that he needs to use his time wisely, I also thought it would be

good for him to have a drink with his boss, since he seems to have saved him from HR!

I appreciate the list of names in the OP :smiley: Keeping track of several characters with short appearances is becoming a bigger challenge than I expected.
