Coming back from a multiday break…
It could have been worse?
This is what my average review session looks like nowadays.
this made me actually giggle omg x’D
I was thinking of taking some lessons before sleeping, expecting 40+ new lessons
Instead I get Stars of Destiny Lesson… Guess I’ll learn later then…
I hope someone get the reference
Procrastinating~♪
I went from almost 1000 reviews to 0! Let’s just hope it never comes to this again.
I am seriously so done with 月 and 日.
Remembering when to use げつ・がつ and にち・じつ is just the worst. The butthurt is so real.
There were only 99 reviews here so this was a bit rough. Put “way” instead of direction, おうじょう instead of おうじょ、to be removed instead of to be disconnected… sigh
someone halp pls
月 is “only” がつ when talking about specific moths like jan, feb, march etc. AND when asking for “which month?” 何月. I’ve seen this told a lot and can’t personally come up with any other がつ word.
As for じつ・にち for 日 I just powered through and took extra time to print them into my memory cause I also messed them up in the beginning. Hopefully there is some logic to them as well but I have not heard of any yet.
Wow that actually makes a lot more sense now! Thanks for helping me out friend!
Maybe there is a rhyme or reason to the jitsu/nichi, however it doesn’t seem like it. Then again, there’s no rhyme or reason to just about ANYTHING in English, so I can’t complain, haha.
Right? So glad I learnt English at a young age cause it’s crazy.
I still have to think for an extra second when answering 近日 and 近年 especially, but they’ve managed to climb to guru.
After being exposed to the reading while also saying the word out loud loads for some time, you’ll for sure think that the wrong way of reading it sounds, well, wrong and strange.
毎日 for example fires of まいにち immediately in my brain due to 「毎日、同じことの繰り返し…」 from Death Note (for some reason that phrase is stuck in my mind) so it’ll get better for sure but sometimes extra effort is required.
Also to me at least, Jitsu, seems to be a reading that is used exclusively for vocab having something to do with types of days, weekdays, few days, same day, previous day, all days. Nichi is the more likely reading whenever else you see 日… but unfortunately it is often shortened to に… but mostly when the word is related to Japan in some way… I think when is is にvs にち, might be more difficult to remember.
Sorry that was less helpful then I hoped when I started writing…
Haha yeah I see how you’re thinking. However, I still find 日 much easier to just memorise without any formula in mind since it’s everywhere.
How is that possible? Oo’ 0 lessons, 0 reviews, 100 Apprentice items and only 2 reviews the next day? oO’ Everything is Apprentice 4?
Yeah I’m just waiting to get new lessons on Sunday. Made all level 7 items (first batch) Apprentice 4 this morning. I’m scared of the future when everything will come back at once or who knows what
Is that a normal い? It looks like the small version:
いぃ
Try getting the answer right, i.e. すい not すぃ
