I keep mixing up 受諾 and 受託 ._.
“Acceptance” has rendaku! (not really, but this is for mnemonic purposes)
Reading: じゅだく. Keypoint: daku-daku
“Be entrusted with” has the same kanji as in 託す, which means “To entrust”.
Reading: じゅたく. Keypoint: taku-taku
#Mini-mnemonic :D
The latest batch of additions has been published!
Hehe, just as I had cleared all the items out of apprentice. Bring it on!
Ooo! We got a fancy reminder link to this post now! Should save some confusion
Lmao this guy been through hell and death, this didn’t faze him the slightest
i was like, didn’t we already have 生まれる? then i noticed the different kanji
I think it’s amazing we get new words to learn
Word type is listed as な adjective
Oops! Thanks for spotting that. It’s fixed now!
Thank you for letting us know
Hurrah for the banner!
Having already seen some of these and not realized that they were newly published, I feel very grateful to WK for making so much available for us to learn. These new words are very useful!
Not sure if I’ve missed it, but is there a list of the words that are gonna be removed as well? Would like to know which words.
There was some discussion about it earlier in the thread. Here’s what Jenny said
Also, welcome to the WaniKani Community!
Most of the new items seem to be active versions of verbs that were already taught in their passive version, or the obverse. Easy!
I wonder if they’re gonna remove 河豚 because of that thread
" Level 1: 力いっぱい (ちからいっぱい)- with all one’s strength "
Is this level 1 because power is level 1? as soon as I saw it I was like “wow that’s pretty tough for level 1s!” but maybe I’m being dramatic
Hope not.
Anybody who leaves because of one Kanji was never going to stick around anyway…
they were like level 37, and as you get higher level the words become less commonly used ones, and their arguement they used was “I’ve never seen this word used”. But WaniKani is made by Tofugu, (FUGU) I think it’s fair they don’t leave that word until like level 60 where barely anyone makes it aha.
You added 10 extra levels.
Hopefully, they’ll come back when they want to study more kanji, relevant or not
