This is a minor improvement for the Forecast Unlocked Items filter. The older version could fail to set the correct target level after a level up because it downloads the current user level from the User endpoint and obsolete old level information is stored in the cache. This version corrects this.

@juniormint please let me know if this version works for you.

This fixes a minor bug that caused Item Inspector to rely sometimes on a stale cache for item information.

To anybody that uses Brave browser and has issues with the Stroke Order font working:

  1. Click the Brave Shield icon
  2. Click the arrow to the right of Block fingerprinting
  3. Click the font option to turn it off
  4. Refresh WaniKani and you should hopefully find that Item Inspector can now detect the Stroke Order font

Any fix for Firefox? Despite installing the stroke order font, I’m still getting the pop-up from the userscript, and hitting the “Disable Stroke Order Font Alert” button does nothing.

Edit: I deleted lines 14899-14902 and that seems to have done the tricky with removing the pop-up entirely.

You removed the popup using brute force but I still wonder why the “Disable Stroke Order Font Alert” button didn’t work. Can you post a screenshot of the console log?

Edit: Stroke order font problems are fairly common in Item Inspector. The code is instrumented to log the flow of execution to debug this kind of problems. I want a screenshot of this to debug the problem as it is seen by your browser.

Version 1.31.4 is available - Please download it at the link in the top post

It fixes various bugs and is compatible with the new dashboard.

Please note that from now on Item Inspector can be installed only at the top or bottom of the dashboard. This is required to avoid messing with the widget layout customisation.

There is a known issue. If you exit the customization dialog by clicking on the Wanikani logo in the site top bar two copies of Item Inspector may display and the second copy will be non functional. The workaround is to refresh your browser and the extraneous copy will be removed.

I will fix this bug but I don’t want to leave the users without a working copy of the script in the mean time.

Version 1.32.1 is available — Please download it at the link in the top post.

The version fixes various bugs. The most notable is the known issue with version 1.31.4. Now Item Inspector will not display duplicates when you have just customized the dashboard.

This version fulfills a request by @ihatethislanguage . Now you can insert Item Inspector anywhere on the dashboard.

Could you add more margin at the bottom so there’s a larger gap between the widget and the script?

I don’t see any problem. The margin is large enough as it is. Perhaps your style sheet is at fault.

This version modifies the settings for positioning the script on the dashboard. The user has now the option to choose whether the script is positioned before or after a selected widget row.

This version fixes bugs impairing Breeze Dark support.

Elementary Dark is supported indirectly through the generic dark theme support. This works relatively fine but it doesn’t have a Elementary Dark look and feel. I need to renovate this part of Item Inspector.

Version 1.35.0 is available - Please download it at the link in the top post.

This is a major refactoring of the CSS. Most of it is work behind the scenes, invisible to the end user. Visible changes are affecting users of dark themes.

  1. Top bar buttons are more visible in dark themes.
  2. The support of Elementary Dark now respects its look and feel.
  3. The Color Blind setting for Breeze Dark colors is retired. This is because, after refactoring, the code for the Color Blind option became identical to the code for the Breeze Dark Colors setting. There is no need to keep this duplication. Color blind users should now use the Breeze Dark Color setting. There will be no loss of functiionality.

Bugs found during this process are fixed.
