It’s not supposed to be, but turns out it was! Thanks for mentioning that, I have updated it to default to disabled ![]()
Good to know we can help each other out ![]()
I just tried this myself and it seems to work fine. Are you still experiencing this? What version of Omega are you using? Do you have script compatibility mode turned on (it should be off)?
Did this resolve your issue?
Just want to follow up here and let you know that I did not find a satisfying solution to this issue
It was script compatibility mode. I noticed a few minor bugs with other scripts with it disabled and didn’t notice any issues with having it on so I’ve had it on. Guess I’ll leave it off now.
EDIT: Or no wait it wasn’t? I had it happen again somewhere else. I’ll do a bit more testing.
Alright, compatibility mode wasn’t the issue. I now have it off, have 1.3.6 (along with a very minor modification rounding the “spread review interval” down to the nearest hour), and am still having the issue. Testing it further though, I’ve noticed that it only seems to happen with certain words and certain synonyms (which is why I got confused earlier). Here’s a list of words I’ve seen it happen with since testing:
- 住む
- 生える
- 出身 (only with “one’s hometown”)
- 付近
- 欠ける (only with “to not be present”)
- 交代
I’m sure there’s plenty of others, but these are ones that I know don’t work.
Hmm, I wonder if these are new synonyms not present in the API. I’ll look into it tomorrow (hopefully)
It did actually! But I’ve decided to switch over to Microsoft Edge anyways.
Took another look at it an I think I realized what the issue is. See if it works with 1.3.7
Alright, I think it’s working now. I’ll let you know if I have any more issues. Thanks for working on it!
I don’t think a lot of people use the Self Study feature, so it’s great that you are reporting issues you encounter ![]()
Well I have seen some other issues with the feature but haven’t found out how to reproduce them. I’ll let you know if I find anything concrete.
Just an FYI…
I started using Reorder Omega to test some things on the lessons and reviews pages. I noticed I was getting jquery errors from Reorder Omega ($ was undefined), and I was able to fix it by changing the @run-at to document-end. So, it seems like a race condition for when jquery gets loaded. There’s probably a better solution than waiting for document-end, but it’s good enough for my needs.
Anyway, if no one else is having that problem, no worries. I’m blaming my new PC, which is crazy fast.
Was it set to document-start? I accidentally set it to that five days ago, but noticed and set it to document-idle (which is needed for a bug we couldn’t figure out) again three days ago
Yep. At the time, it was the lastest version, but I forgot about it over the last few days.
Anyway, glad to hear it’s addressed already! ![]()
I’m getting errors with the self study. I tried disabling some other userscripts and enabling script compatability mode, but I can’t get it working correctly.
Does anyone have an idea/suggestion what I could try to fix this?
I’ve encountered this but haven’t found a way to make it happen consistently. I usually just go to other kinds of reviews for a bit (try WaniKani’s extra study) and then when I get back it’s working again.
I’m sorry, what is the error?
Unrelated but your kumirei.com got me
well played
