AND TO ME…and I imagine to thousands of others as well!
WOW, I didn’t realize just how many userscripts you wrote!!! But many of them have so few installations that I imagine it would be hard to motivate yourself to keep ALL those up to date!
I saw that you last updated Ultimate Timeline and Self Study Quiz a little over a year ago. So, are those going by the way side or is there hope for updating those as well? I’ve never installed Timeline so I have no idea if it works at all or not. I know Self Study Quiz ‘works’ even though it doesn’t function as you originally wrote it.
This may sound like a broken record but THANKS for all that you do!!!
There is a small amount of hope that I’ll get to them eventually, but I need to give some priority to my long-and-growing list of home projects first. (Replacing a carpet that my wife is mildly allergic to; Replacing burnt-out flourescent light ballasts in my garage; Putting shelving in a new closet where I removed a defunct chimney; etc…)
Both Ultimate Timeline and Self-Study Quiz need a lot of work to fix them properly, and some wonderful WK community members have already created patches that supposedly work reasonably well, so the priority is pretty low at the moment.
I like (love even !) your script and it’s probably the most critical for me. This morning review was a bit frustrating without it. Thank you so much for updating it so fast.
Okay, I reported that I updated your script and it worked
Then yesterday I clicked on ‘Reviews’ and the ‘Retype’ icon was not there! The other icon too but I forget what it is since I might not have ever used it.
But when I hoover my cursor over the Tampermonkey icon it says that it has access.but it normally has the number ‘4’ in it which is not there now.
When I clicked on the icon, the menu options that normally appear didn’t appear.
Then a Chrome message appeared saying “This page has been blocked by Chrome ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT”. So I entered ‘extensions’ and reloaded Tampermonkey.
Now I when I click on the Tampermonkey icon the options menu comes down and it shows all my userscripts are enabled.
But the icon still does not show the number ‘4’ and when I started my Reviews the ‘retype’ icon (and the other one) is still missing!
I logged out and in, same thing. I waited a day just logged back in, same thing. Should I delete Double-Check and reinstall? Delete Open Framework as well? This is my current screenshot.
I’m having some issues with the script. It always breaks in one of two ways:
One is that the “Mark Right” button does nothing and throws these errors in the console:
There was a somewhat recent change on WK that required a change to this script. The “[object Object]” in the answer box is how that problem showed up, so please check if you have the lastest version of Double-Check.
I was able to reproduce the “[object Object]” error with the Mark Right button. I’ve posted an update. The other error is probably related, so I think it is also likely fixed, but let me know if not.
Today the Double-Check script also isn’t working for me. I have tried reinstalling both Open Framework and Double-Check, while also downlaoding the update that just released a few minutes ago, but none of the feature buttons show in reviews. Which is strange, because the script worked perfectly fine yesterday, but now it is as if I never had it. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
Are you seeing the script menu on the Reviews page? If so, make sure the Double-Check settings are still set to enable the buttons you are expecting (just in case the settings got deleted or corrupted).
Otherwise, please post a snapshot of any errors in the Javascript console.
It seems my issue has been resolved! Apparently Tampermonkey now requires developer mode to be activated to use the scripts, so I turned that on and Double-Check works without issue. Thank you very much for the help!
Uh, somehow this happened. I wrote the correct answer, pressed Enter, and then got undefined. It also set the reviews to -1, and if I kept trying to do it, it would keep counting down. It was also the last item for finishing my review.
EDIT: Even though it said undefined, Wanikani already understood it as completed, so even if the counter was like -10, heading back to the home page fixes it.
This happens regularly with the review summary script installed. There seems to be some minor interaction between that script and doublecheck that sometimes crashes on the last review. A simple workaround is to click the small home icon in the top left corner which will take you to the review summary anyway. You could also just close the page as all progress is actually saved.
