I noticed I unlocked 整然, a level 36 vocab word, while im only level 17. Has anybody else encountered this? Its not a huge issue as I know the kanji, but thought it was interesting that it happened. I was wondering if it was an issue with Smouldering Durtles but I went through the settings and didnt see anything that would allow unlocking content early.
If you check on https://www.wanikani.com/ is it unlocked for you? If not, then it might a Smouldering Durtles thing.
I’ve definitely seen before where they will move an item to a later level after you take it up in a lesson (or pull things back to a level you already finished and they just appear in your current lessons). I have a couple vocabulary that’s already been burned just looking through the upcoming levels. So this might be the case.

This particular item did move, from level 13 to level 36, but that was back in November 2023…

It may be that the team shuffles things around sometimes. I have been away from WK for … years and I have 申し申しunlocked at level 60 …

This is most definitely it after I saw the other reply as well. I have 申し申し burned im pretty sure. Had no idea it got moved.
Thanks Belthazar, I should have thought to check if it had moved. I checked your unlocks, KannibalFish, and you unlocked that vocab August 2023, just months before it was moved to level 36. Sound like you all figured that out, just confirming.
