Try my beta mobile immersion + SRS app, get it for free when it launches!

Hi guys,

I’m building an iOS app which I think is really complementary to WaniKani users. Like WaniKani, it’s an SRS app. Unlike WaniKani, You have to make your own flashcards, but the key point of the app is to make this as painless as possible.

Currently, it supports mining from YouTube and web sites. While you’re browsing a YouTube video within the app, clicking on a word automatically makes a card for it, which includes the line of the transcript, as well as the timestamps in the YouTube video, so when you review the card later, the YouTube clip is replayed at that exact point to reinforce your memory.

To reflect the fact that it’s still fairly rough, all beta users will get free lifetime premium on launch. It’s like a KickStarter, but you don’t have to pay, or wait! This includes features like AI powered explanations, which apps rarely give away for free due to the ongoing cost.

All I ask is you join my discord where I’m coordinating feature requests / bug reports.

About me: I’ve been studying Japanese since high school, double majored in Japanese and Computer Science at university, and attained JLPT N1 a long time ago. Since then I’ve also been self studying Chinese and Korean, and am a firm believer in input first language learning. My vision for this project is to build a mobile first sentence mining tool for Asian languages, with support for every possible input source that is technically feasible on mobile devices.
