Hey fellow Wanikani learners! 
I’m excited to share that I’m currently building an app to help us master Wanikani vocabulary and context sentences using SRS—just like we do with kanji, but for real-world usage!
Why I’m Building This:
Like many of you, I’ve wanted a better way to practice vocabulary in context—not just memorizing words in isolation. Since there aren’t many tools for Wanikani’s sentences (and I got tired of waiting!), I decided to take matters into my own hands. This app will finally give us a structured way to drill sentences so we can learn how words are actually used.
Core Features:
SRS-powered sentence practice (fill-in-the-blank & multiple-choice)
Vocabulary + context sentence reviews pulled from Wanikani
Progress tracking (similar to WKStats)
Future Improvements (Coming Soon!):
Speaking practice! – I’m experimenting with ways to improve speaking skills, like:
- Repeating sentences aloud with feedback
- Conversation prompts to simulate real dialogue
- (Maybe even pronunciation checks?
