Recorded mnemonics for level 60 kanji:
And listened to them and some of my previous mnemonics.
This concludes my quest of recording all WK kanji mnemonics.
2074 kanji (I might have skipped a few that were easier to remember as a whole than to break into radicals)
3 hours, 55 minutes and 23 seconds of audio
Now, my goal is to listen, listen and keep listening until I drill and hammer each of them into my head so that I’d be able to recognize them as quickly and easily as letters of the alphabet.
There are also these 常用漢字 that are not yet on WK:
Eventually I plan to record mnemonics for them too, but for now I want to memorize the WK kanji first.
This method does seem to be working for me quite well, because it allows me to practice kanji during times when I normally wouldn’t be able to – while walking, riding bicycle, doing some work of a kind that doesn’t require much attention or even when I’m in a stupor (which, unfortunately, happens to me quite often).
It’s not as good for reading though – and that’s probably because I just state the readings rather than use mnemonics for them. But that’s ok, because this is still just a complimentary method to WK.
