Tonight's Jeopardy Show

One of today’s Jeopardy questions gave the contestants “少し” in Romaji and asked for the related English word (skosh). That’s also the mnemonic from WaniKani, so I got it right! (My family competes to see who gets the most answers right.)

Just thought I’d share.

I’ve still never heard anyone say “skosh” in English.

Maybe it’s a regional thing?

I’ve heard it in the context of cooking/food shows, but never anywhere else. I guess it’s one of those things that you infer from context and not really “know”.

It’s a word that I’ve known, used, and heard used my whole life.

Is Trebek really retiring next year?

actually says “skosh”
