Just starting yesterday and am on page 10 so Im a bit behind but its my first book club so im taking it slow. been confused on a few things already but been trying my best to work through them. Sentences like いいかげんちゃんと美術部らしくしなさいよ and っていうかコレ僕に言わせれば殺人ですよ have specifically been hard to translate.

You don’t have watch on the main thread? I thought most people do and it would be double notification if I post here too, but if it’s the preferred way I’ll post in the weekly thread too
It’s a good idea to do that, I don’t usually watch main threads past ABBC, because ironically it would be a lot of notifications I’m not interested in.

This is my first actual book club where I’ve followed along (and not just bought the book, forgot all about the club, and read it independently). Can someone explain the reason for the weekly threads rather than just the main one? Is it so that people who are reading later can also post for help?

This painting came up in a quiz game I was playing on Christmas Day, and I only knew the answer thanks to my participation in this book club. My knowledge of fine art from is obviously being enriched from reading this manga, despite all the panty jokes!

I feel like the world of fine art contains a lot more panty jokes than most people realise. 
For that matter, despite Usami’s claim that Uchimaki can’t be a true artist because all he wants to do is paint a waifu, that’s quite literally the plot of the ancient Greek tale of Pygmalion, albeit with sculpture rather than painting.
