I would love to help somehow, but I've been quite busy with life these past few months. Sometimes I end up studying at 12am before heading to bed. If days were only a little bit longer!
So hyped!

Thanks spacey ^_^
I'm excited to see what you come up with!
Sounds interesting. Not sure if I’d use it or not, but I definitely think many people would. A lot of us love a little friendly competition (myself included, though my friendly rival is long gone by now :c ) and it would be great to have something like this. : )
Heck, it’d be good just for tracking your own progress in a different way.

Soooo, Mordoff. Any updates on how things are coming?
infinitefluff said... Soooo, Mordoff. Any updates on how things are coming?Blegh.. Development stalled as I've had to pick up a couple other small projects for people I know. My WK in general took a dive. Picking it back up today though, and shortly after the site development will resume as well. Sorry for the delays.
Random side note: My review today is going to be *super* painful! haven't touched WK in about a month... oh man..
So? How many reviews did you have backed up? It could be a statistic! ‘Highest number of reviews at the start of a session’/‘longest personal break from WK’ (with or without vaca mode), which could lead to ‘most reviews done in a single go’, and ‘longest correct streak’. Of course, to do all of those, the API would have to store data like that. Hmm… that leads to requests for changes that help ‘gamify’ WK…
Didn’t read the whole thread (sorry if this was asked already).
So, I was just wondering - has any work been done, anything to show yet?
I want this!

I keep daily records of all item statistics each person has (at the moment, this will amount to a lot of data, so I'll either have to trim off earlier historical, or deal with larger database sizes in the future differently) - so I can discern some of that information (most items changed between two days, for example... would require lots of post-processing nightly data though) from what I'm storing. That will be looked at later though.

TL;DR: I have to come up with meaningful data insights, and I'm realizing that's not something I am used to doing. So that's taking more time than anticipated, and I actually could use some help with that if anyone has experience/thinks they can provide some feedback on that. Read the last paragraph if you want to contact me and help.
There's not much visually to show yet unfortunately (which I am sad about, I want to have something up soon that people can start using for at least some starter features).
The part that has me .. I'm not gonna say stumped, because I'm not stuck, but.. slowing down a bit I guess? - Is the actual process of looking at all the data I'm collecting, and seeing what it means to users. Example: I have all the items two users currently have (with their mastery levels, their attempts, any critical levels they've experienced, etc) each day.
Great.. So how do I establish a "You're doing better than User X" from that data? Is it most items updated (with positive results) in that day, or largest amount of positive increase (if it's possible to get less items updated, but a better scoring out of them, from WK)? .. or even some other measurement, I'm not sure yet.
I've got enough running that a user can create an account/login, and give their API key - then collection proceeds and the user can see every item they have available to their account, mastery levels, etc in a panel. I've got a bit of work done on User befriending, but that's not live yet. My email is mike.winger87@gmail.com - send me an email if anyone wants to look at their items, provide insight assistance, or even help me by just logging in and inputting their API key so I can gather more data. The more data I have, the easier it is for me to find good ways to use it.
