This started on August 6 when I realized that due to my lack of motivation I couldn’t bring myself to take down a big pile of reviews. I’ve read some topics on the forum (more notably Scaling the 6218 review wall) and decided to start my own, documenting my journey.
The initial steady reduction of the review pile was due to me focusing first on the lower stages of the srs. In september 2025 I’ve written
Later I saw that this was not the best strategy, because I was hardwired to trying to recall from the most recent items. So the Overdue preset from Reorder Omega is born.
Also I made a bold decision to do lessons (boy that went well 
). I thought that maybe if I have perfect mix of overdue
Up until December all went well seemingly, but late November I decided to do 12 lessons instead of 10. (Now having written a Review Forecast I know this was a grave mistake). This resulted in thwarting review pile reduction and even a little growth, which was a big demotivator.
In February I got sick so I had a week break. After that I stopped doing lessons almost entirely and just did reviews but much fewer then before. So much so my Reviews Remaining flatlined.
In June I blamed Leeches for my lack of progress because the accuracy was a lot lower then before, so I started doing some targeted reviews (Recent mistakes and Anki deck for persistent Leeches).
In July seeing that progress is slow I decided to write a Forecasting tool to my Study log app. When I saw that I could clear the pile in just over a month if I keep doing 200 review a day I gave it a try.
And that bring us to today - zero reviews remaining after 13 months of struggling.
