The Vocab also not being in a uniform list like before I think looks worse and is less functional. It was nice having every item have it’s own little row for visualizing scope of what’s available and for combing through just by scrolling downward.

Wow you are right, I didnt look at it, but it’s quite a big downgrade functionally. I dont think there was a need to change it as well… (sorry). The list looked so nice and functionally perfect before

Could we please get a feature to adjust the size of the contents of the boxes? In particular the radical/kanji/vocab entries are now enormous on my 14” laptop display. It’s not a touch screen. My eyesight is not that bad. If I could reduce sizes by maybe 20-30% it’d be much better. Just scaling the whole web page does not work because the content area in the center shrinks, so mostly I just get more deadspace on the left and right side. Sadness.

Other than that, the new dashboard looks very nice.

I don’t know if anyone has posted this or not, but is it possible to get a widget that tracks how long you spend on a level? Something that includes the day you unlocked the level and the number of days you spent on it before the next level unlocked? Maybe also something that shows the items that you struggled the most on it?

I am happy the review timeline userscript still works. I do wish there were a proper dark mode, though, and I would like it if the current leech count for the level appeared in the item spread (or as an optional item spread), I didn’t see an option to do so.

This is a third-party script/app and is not created by the WaniKani team. By using this, you understand that it can stop working at any time or be discontinued indefinitely. This script replaces the original Level Duration script. Unlike the previous one, this script fetches your level unlock date from the API, so it is much more accurate. To do this it relies on WKOF, so you will need to install that first for this to work. There are a couple of different display options for this …

I believe that this is the userscript extension I use for this if you want to go through that process. It looks like this in application. Still works with the new dashboard.

I am truly bummed that Item Inspector is not working on the new dashboard. I only recently discovered it and found it invaluable to visually see all my leeches, and then be able to practice them on demand. It has made a difference for me in being able finally overcome many of the kanji and vocab that have plagued me for ages. For those with the coding skills, please help!!!

We go into this optimal Learning Zone here! Usually it’s ideal to be around 85 - 95% so you can challenge yourself if you’re always above 95, but no worries if you do go above it.

Ah… I see the logic, but I would prefer if she looked happy and there was text that said “Consider doing more lessons to test your skills!” or something like that. It looks like a mistake on the dashboard. Lately I do at least 20 lessons per day, usually a little more, but when I can’t do more lessons (like now) and she’s mad at me, it doesn’t feel too great to look at. This is pretty minor I guess, but finding out her expression is intended just makes me want to remove it.

Had to shrink it down a lot, but I am quite pleased with how it turned out. The new widgets add a lot of fun and function, and rearranging my dash 3 times was a great way to spend half an hour.

On the profile tab, there seems to be a text glitch on the Wall of Shame, centering the name of the Kanji / Vocab word. If not a glitch, I apologize for the bluntness but I think it looks kind of bad
