I agree that vocabulary is important, but I just don’t think WaniKani is the way to learn it. Even the words I have no problem getting right, I can’t actually recall them without being prompted by seeing them. I really don’t know why, but WaniKani simply doesn’t work for me for vocab!

Level 6 0/0 check in. I was going to hold off until I was done with the first round of Kanji but I feel like I’m about to get overwhelmed with vocab lessons.
On a side note, the level 6 e-mail said 6-10 are usually the hardest levels and that it gets easier after that. Can’t wait to see what they mean. I already feel like my brain is an overflowing tub and all these new vocabulary are just pouring out over the sides as I try to fit more in.

Level 8, here we go!
This one felt a bit longer coming, largely because I was just waiting on a few kanji to finish up level 7 last week. I was excited that master items were going to overtake apprentice items, but then some of the master items started going to enlightened instead.

Level 9 0/0 update 80/80 days streak 
This level has been easier somehow, things have been going smoothly with 10 to 20 new items daily and I was glad that most of the new vocab I already knew beforehand so it felt like a little break somehow!
I also subscribed to Satori Reader last weekend so I also set myself the goal of reading chapters every other day.

Which story are you reading?
My first was Sakura and Suzuki’s long distance relationship, and in hindsight, it wasn’t optimal, because you get exposed to slang, and at that time I didn’t event know what normal sentences would look like 
So maybe Akiko’s American foreign exchange would have been a better first choice

I started with The Jam Maker! I enjoy the tranquility I get from reading the chapters, it’s like a cozy bedtime story 
Thanks for the recommendation though, I was between the mouse story and the long distance relationship one. I think I’ll give Akiko’s a try first then, I have enough slang in my plate with よつばと at the moment.

phew that was close!
It’s my level-up day!!! Feels a little special this time because I’ll finally finally leave Pleasant. I took one whole year to find my routine and resources, but I’m sure I might speed up a little from here.
Somehow, feels like this month was full of struggles and mini-milestones. But it worked in my favour, because everytime I struggled, I had something small to celebrate hehe
I’m ready for some Pain now (ง •̀_•́)ง

. My level up in average is about 10 Days. I think thats the right pace for me right now :). Beside i need to learn a lot of verbs in my japaneselessons :).
