Have you read ラブカは静かに弓を持つ or those two 純喫茶ねこ books yet? And if so, what did you think of them? There’s very little information about them online in English, so I haven’t been able to make a decision about whether I want to buy them or not.
Thank you! I’ve read ラブカ and I found it really interesting, the premise of a music x spy story was what drew me in (and the pretty cover) and the story kept me super engaged throughout the book. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the spy part but it’s more of a corporate spy situation mainly dealing with copyright issues so there’s a lot of vocab related to copyright law.
I haven’t had the chance to get into 純喫茶ねこ yet unfortunately, I really should soon though, coffee + cats seems like a great combo
Oh, a music x spy combination sounds pretty neat! (And yes, for me too the cover played a big role in catching my interest, ha, ha!)
This admittedly sounds rather daunting though, eheh. But it’s not like I’m ready to read a novel yet anyways, so I just put in my to-read-someday-list, for when that kind of vocabulary won’t be as much of a hurdle to learn.
I’d be interested in hearing what you think of it when you do, whenever that may be!

I’m drowning a bit under book clubs right now but should be clawed out by the end of this week and then thankfully a few are wrapping soonish. Maybe start next week?
I am behind on my current bookclubs by 2-3 weeks already due to carnival activities claiming all my free time. (I haven’t even started 犬神家 yet! 
) … Carnival season ended last Tuesday, at which point I decided to get started remodeling my kitchen. We’re planning to finish over the weekend, so I should also be good to go next week or beginning of March.

Come to look at it closely, they really used every direction except upside down for this cover, didn’t they?
My books! (Not counting [most of] my English ones.) They’re organized in alphabetical order since that’s easier for me than 五十音順.
The top two shelves are all manga. The third one, from the orange spines rightward are novels. Between that and the rest of the manga (which ends directly behind the middle support—though from this angle you can actually see the last one: 暫定、恋人) is misc ones like DJs and a poetry book I picked up at the local Half Price Books (that I still haven’t even looked at). I have a few manga in EN, but the vast majority are in JP.
I still need to shift some stuff around, but I’ve got some more books that should be on the way soon, so I’m waiting until those get here (hence 極主夫道⑪ hanging out with 夏目友人帳 lol)
And the manga I’ve read from those series that I’ve got stacked on their sides (ft. some of my English novels and some more of my figures):

If I’ve been properly keeping up with logging everything on Bookmeter, I’ve read 158 and my 積読/読んでいる本 are 180 (though that’s fixing to go up by um. a lot)
