Guru’d my first kanji today. The weird thing though is that it was only one. Previously, when I guru’d my first kanji of a new level, it would typically be 5-6 at once. Maybe this is a sign that the next level will take longer than usual. I forgot to do the second extra review session after leveling up that I normally do, so that might have contributed.

I can’t remember the last time I missed a level-up kanji review, but it was probably over a year ago, since I put extra effort into trying to learn the new kanji for a level in order to level up faster.
However, today I missed the review for 醸. It wasn’t my fault though. I put “brewing” instead of “brew” for the meaning, and unfortunately, Wanikani didn’t accept that.
Accuracy was also low in general today. It looks like I only got 71/100 right. Besides 醸, there were a couple vocab that I missed due to typos, but that has always happened sometimes, and even apart from that, I still only had like 75% accuracy and I still really struggled today. I’ve been struggling a lot in general lately with the vocab, presumably due to lots of high level vocab behind harder to remember.
In another interesting coincidence, I had the lesson for 烏龍茶 on WK this morning, and this evening, I saw it come up in the wild (written in kanji, no less) in this video.
