What are some good things to say for a romantic evening?

I honestly think if you have to ask that question, you’re not ready yet.

From my extensive experience of translating H manga, I can confirm this is how love works in Japan.

Obviously because we’re of the same generation of kids raised by butt-obsessed, satanist pornographers

A serious (?) answer:

They do have some books about it on bookstores. My pictures are from the Portuguese one, but it has English in it and they also have versions for several other languages.

Hah, I bought a Japanese phrasebook before my first visit to Japan in 2010, and it’s got a chapter on dating and chat up lines. And my thought then was basically the same as my thought now: if you’re still using a phrasebook, you’re probably not ready.

I thought dating was only allowed once you reach level 60. Are you trying to get an innocent Japanese girl to help you with the reviews? Whatever you say, remember that if you say it too often you’ll burn the compliment, while if you get it wrong too many times, it might go down to Novice, or even worse to Insult.
