I’m not sure how to describe this, but I’ve basically done 129 reviews 3 times because for some reason, no matter how much I get through (I also tried “wrap-up” to see if that fixed the problem), when I finish my reviews it “restarts” them and puts me back at #1 with no actual progress made.
I’m not sure how to fix this because this is the first time it’s happened and I did WaniKani reviews last night with no problems. I’m getting frustrated, though the additional practice has been nice, ha.
I’ve only ever seen that in conjunction with connection issues. I suppose your internet must be working to some extent if you could post this, but are you seeing any kind of “could not reach WaniKani” errors? Have you tried restarting your router?
Aside from that, hopefully you tried the standard turn-it-off-and-back-on-again (going back to home screen, closing window, closing browser, restarting computer, trying from different device, etc.)
If you still can’t figure out the problem and it keeps happening, maybe shoot the folks at Tofugu an email. They are usually pretty responsive with bugs and customer support.
My connection is a bit wonky sometimes, but unfortunately I don’t have access to the router. I live in a university-run apartment complex and our routers aren’t accessible. Other websites are working fine and the rest of WaniKani is functioning, but for some reason my reviews aren’t holding.
I’ll try some other things before I call it quits, but hopefully the standard turn-it-off-and-back-on-again works. Thanks!
I had this issue and it turned out to be one of my userscripts that was causing the problem. If you have any installed, try turning all of them off and see if the problem persists (you will only need to do a couple of reviews before getting out of it and checking if the number of reviews went down). If it does appear to be a userscript try turning them on one by one and checking between each one.
I thought it might be a userscript problem but hadn’t gotten around to shutting them off. Thanks for the suggestion!
