Recognizing vocab by listening to it

I made this for personal practice but if there is anyone who would be interested I would consider publish it for free.

It asks for your WaniKani API key to load up all the vocab you have available to you and then plays back the audio for a random vocab while hiding the meaning. You can show the meaning, replay the audio (it will randomly pick a different voice actor from the available ones), skip to the next vocab, or go back. It keeps the api key stored in the browser for the next use. There are no servers involved, this is just a static HTML page.

I made this because I wanted to exercise a “reverse WaniKani” so to speak. that is, see if I recognized a word by listening to it, not just by reading it.

I wanted to post a video but the forum wouln’t let me so you can’t really hear the audio so I suppose a GIF will do:

This would be very helpful for my studies. Can you please publish it.

Thanks

No problem. I’ll do it as soon as I have a minute. I wanted to post the actual HTML bundle but the forum wouldn’t let me. Also wanted to ask you to send me your email via DM so that I can send this to you directly but I can’t even find a DM function here, so I suppose you’ll need to wait a bit. Sorry!

@pastelito yeah you are right there is no DM option. I guess I’ll wait till you figure something out.

Thanks in advance.
