We’ve updated WaniKani so that it now accepts answers in lessons and reviews when you use a mix of hiragana and katakana such as below:
If you’ve had trouble with autocapitalization on your keyboard in the past, this shouldn’t affect your results on WaniKani anymore. The answer will be marked as correct, regardless of the kana you use.
Soooo good, I have rage quit on my phone so many times because I have failed an answer because it auto capitalises the first letter, and if it’s a single letter BOOM mistake.
Been complaining about this for years! I know they have tried to fix it but there’s issues with Swiftkey where it ignores the setting to non-capitalise.
I know they are a small team so glad it stayed in the backlog and got addressed eventually.
