Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel 2
I finished all quests and started the Irina rescue mission. First we had to infiltrate Roer, which we already visited in the last game. After talking to all people we learnt that Irina is hold captive in a train in the Sachsen Mine. Also Angelica joined our group she looks awesome in a nun outfit. We slowly made our way toward the mine, while fighting all monsters. Of course we are mainly visiting all those old locations, because the game developer wanted to save on development costs and reduce development time.

I didn’t (have and) take the time to update in a while, so I’d like to do it now.

Story progress: Prologue (20%) → Chapter 1 (at roughly 50-60%)

- Finished 正反対, very very good series, will continue. A bit odd in terms of difficulty, it’s largely pretty easy but there’s one particular character who is super introspective and it’s hard to parse his internal dialogue, plus everyone is SUPER slangy (maybe a bit moreso than is usual for a lot of romcoms). But I really enjoyed it and I’m probably going to put it on my continue list (since I already have a bunch to continue!)
- Continuing Elf-san. I thought yesterday was fantasy annoying, well today was the battle scenes so it was even more annoying. Lots of vocab to hoover up though.

Well, I did manage to do quite a bit of reading over the weekend…but I also ended up having a busy, messy week and kept not quite getting around to posting anything here. Whoops… In any case, I did do my reading every day, at least, and in the process I finished two more manga volumes! 
1月18日 - Read one chapter in 名探偵コナン Volume 18, plus finished Major Volume 5!
1月19日 - Read two chapters in コナン 18
1月20日 - Read one chapter in コナン 18
1月21日 - Read one more chapter in コナン Volume 18, which finishes that volume!
1月22日 - Read the first half of chapter 7 in カードキャプターさくら Volume 2, for the offshoot bookclub.
1月23日 - Read the first chapter in 名探偵コナン Volume 19, which wraps up the double case that introduces Haibara Ai. Definitely enjoyed reading those cases, though my pace slowed way down since I let myself do way more lookups than usual. I wanted to make sure I was understanding everything for these cases!

Finished this weeks chapter for Natsuki for the Natively book club. I’m not personally feeling the story, but I’m halfway so I’ll finish it with the club for the reading practice and new words.
Another chapter down for Bluelock Vol 10 (I’ve actually now finished it this morning!)
I only have one other non-book-club manga that’s currently being read (春風のエトランゼ Vol 2) but I’ve come up against a bit of a hill with this in difficulty, so I’m thinking I might shelve that for a while and come back to it in a few months.
Now to decide what to read next

Might do a bit of 君の名は in bed but I’ll update the table tomorrow if that’s the case, enough screens for today.
Another solid dent in the reading pile made today, but didn’t spend as long as I would have liked though. Feeling pretty ill and was busy at work, plus no long commute to read on, so just did an hour-ish at home this evening. Tomorrow’s a chill weekend day with nothing on finally, so if I’m feeling better (hopefully) time to find a cafe and plonk myself down for a couple hours. 80 pages plus hopefully!

Unfortunately because my 7 month old has been having a hard time with sleep the last 2 nights, I did not do any reading because I accidentally fell asleep with him both times.
My Read Everyday streak has been broken 
But I shall have to just keep trying. Maybe I can make it happen for February and March.

One chapter of ふらいんぐうぃっち to the end of volume 4. I love this series! Also one chapter of 恋より青く and a little Aokana. I keep seeing my new kanji and vocab in the manga and VNs that I read. Love it!

only the one chapter of 3月のライオン today, nikaidou’s pov chapters (as that one was) tend to take longer and then there was a shogi column so by that point i was wiped out 
did 14 pages of psycho-pass and in contrast to yesterday it through a bunch of kanji i didn’t know at me 
i enjoy new words but i’ve been getting used to easy lookups 
shoutout to 排莢 (which i think i might’ve seen before, actually), 虱 and 眷属 for confusing me. 虱 was the only one of those to have furigana

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
The game is finally out on pc. I downloaded it and played for some minutes the graphics look incredible. Still undecided whether I should play it right away or wait for mods.

We arrived at the mine and things happened and we had to recue
Irina fighting our way through the running train. Of course Sharon was there and helped out when our party was in a pinch.
I should use this opportunity to tell you all how much I love trains. Most of my childhood was spend in trains or at least it feels like it. Not only was I riding trains I had of course talk to all the other passengers. Yeah I was very social when I was a child.
After some fights and a dungeon we liberated Roer and now comes the time for more bonding events they are called 絆イベント in the game.

Trying to get back to doing daily updates.
Read for 25 minutes today and made satisfactory progress. I think I might finish chapter 1 next week if I manage to read a bit more than the daily minimum (=10 minutes) in the next days.
