Yay <3 My brother-in-arms! Doujinshi and ff are legit the best way to get me reading, and Karaoke Iko/Famiresu Iko as a fandom works so well because there are very few things written for it in English, so it is kind of, 仕方がなくて、日本語でやろう or something. It is the only thing keeping me sane until the next chapter of Famiresu is released~

So I’ve read 刑事の子 | L35 which I don’t remember having any info dumps and was relatively short (under 300 pages), but I read it back in 2020 so my memory of it is pretty weak 
火車 | L34 is her most famous book (translated to English as ‘All She Was Worth’ iirc) and while it definitely has some info dumps, the pacing of info vs plot was better in my opinion. Finally I’ve read レベル7 (セブン) | L29 which had no info dumps but did feel like it could have been a good 100-200 pages shorter with a proper editor

Final Fantasy VII Remake
Today I finished chapter 15 and 16 the climbing part was pretty interesting the part in the Shinra building was not bad but a bit too long. I try to finish this game as soon as possible so I can play Final Fantasy VII Rebirth once it’s released on pc.
Read some pages of manga magazines.

HOME POST So this marks the end of ミステリと言う勿れ for now. Got to page 70 and actually pretty proud of myself for that, because I feel like this Manga might still be a bit too difficult for me. For a trial version it was really good though. Maybe I will pick it up again after stepping up my game a little bit 
So for now a slow day again starting the third volume of スーパーの裏でヤニ吸うふたり. Love them both so much. The age difference is… something. But the dynamic is so cute. And I love how they slowly grow fond of each other.

More 日本へようこそエルフさん1. Funnily enough the first anime ep dropped today, hope it’s alright, I don’t have high hopes but I have medium-level hopes that it’s not completely crap.
I find myself in an interesting place with this one - the level is way above what I’ve read before to the extent where I feel like I’m doing tens of lookups per page, but given how well I know and enjoy the story, and how easy lookups are digitally, I actually find myself kind of reading it casually and not feeling bound to read ‘a whole chapter’ in a way I do with other works. It’s kind of pulling me through it faster, which is very nice, even if the amount of new (or ‘I kind of recognise this but not really’) words is incredibly overwhelming. -
More 付き合ってあげてもいいかな１, nearly done. Kind of the opposite with this - I feel by comparison there’s so many less words and so much less lookups, I’m not sure why I’m taking so long! (In my head). But it’s probably not that long all things considered, I’m just impatient. It is a bit annoying to open the English version and read what took me thirty-forty minutes in, like, three though.

First time doing a challenge on the Wanikani community (along with the Listening one I signed up for today). I’m looking forward to seeing the (hopefully) good effect this challenge has on my reading skills.
I’ll be reading the series Phantom Busters (haven’t started) and Baby Steps (at volume 5 rn) for this challenge. I’m quite new to this so sorry if my posting/editing isn’t too smooth. I’m starting a little late due to a 3 week holiday so will start to read a chapter a day (and likely repeat that same chapter at least once) on the 12th of Jan.

Another couple of very slow reading days, though I did manage to get another few pages of the light novel done and completed the week’s reading for Doraemon.
I have nothing exciting planned for the weekend and it’s freezing outside so I don’t intend to leave the house ha, so hopefully I can get a good chunk of reading done. Hoping to complete Vol 2 of 君には届かない.
Ooo let me know what you think! I recently finished the first volume and really enjoyed it, the characters are a lot of fun, and the humor lands really well I thought.
