By the end of this, I will have read the equivalent of 2000 pages or so in a normal book. Insane, I know! I’m glad that I didn’t really understand how long this VN was when I started reading it…

- first couple of days were great but then I got busy and fatigued on my night shifts and barely read

- I ended up binge-reading とんがり帽子のアトリエ a couple of days ago; if I did t have so many other commitments I’d probably have kept going but
I’ll aim to post again at the end of the month. I’m falling behind again. Back up to 11 clubs!

I didn’t have much left of the book, so I finished it.
Book thoughts: This volume felt like the type of sequel where things are falling apart. Internal discord. Rozemyne being told she has to make sure the grades aren’t so good next year so that the rank of the territory drops, which makes her feel like her and the other students’ efforts are not being appreciated. Wilfried reaching the rebellious phase of adolescence, not listening to advice, blaming people for his own mistakes. Charlotte feeling bad for her mom and Brunhilde. I’m glad I’m finished with this volume, it was getting tiring. …I fear we’ve yet to see the worst of it. Hopefully, next volume is better. At least there was the story about the border gate and how the King used to open and close the gates with the now-lost 
important book

- Finished ルリドラゴン2 on a casual read but will need to go back through and mark up the stuff I don’t know, of which there was a lot. There’s a lot more slangy-talk in this book than I thought, which can make it difficult when you’re talking about dragon metabolism or whatever.
- Continuing with 逆転裁判。I’m sick of this witness but to be fair so is almost everybody else in the courtroom

Last day of the challenge!
I’ve fallen off a little bit this month due to work related things that took priority, but overall I’m pretty happy with my progress.
The only things I’ve completed have been Bluelock volumes 2-6, though I am so very nearly close to finishing すみっコぐらし, hopefully in the next couple of days.
Even though I’ve not managed to finish it by the end of the challenge, I can definitely feel a good improvement in my reading speed, and it’s been nice to get some experience reading prose after only reading manga previously. Lots and lots (and lots) of adjectives/adverbs/onomatopia words I would probably not have seen otherwise.
I’ve also discovered that I am not good at balancing lots of books! Going forward into the next challenge, I think I’ll stick to one manga, one story at a time.
