I’ve managed to read every day since I joined the challenge, which is also since I started reading at all. Considering this, I’m pretty happy with my progress, I managed to finish:
while also reading all NHK Easy articles every day since some day in early February and one article from normal NHK.
For the next challenge, I definitely aim to finish the Tile World Chronicles, continue reading all NHK Easy articles, read a few more articles from normal NHK and start reading また、同じ夢を見ていた as my first Japanese book!
And to finish out the challenge by finishing out one last manga volume. That’s 24 volumes I’ve read this season, compared to 10 in the 9 months of Japanese study I did in 2023 (and the 13 I’d need for the target I set at the start of the year). And I read a novel as well, and got some progress on a few video games too (though I may be chewing a bit more off than I should with Persona, judging by the pace). I’ll have longer thoughts in my study log, but overall the challenge has been a major success for me.
Did not dedicate much time for reading today, so ended up reading late.

I’ve read every day this challenge. Last time I managed to do that was one year ago in the previous winter challenge (not including the off-month back then). Very consistent so far this year, so I’m very happy with that. I hope I can keep this up.

I feel like I’ve been reading at kind of a slow pace, but I guess I did better this season compared to earlier ones judging by the amount of books finished. Not bad
I’m liking the crossdressing one more and more, but I hadn’t realized when I first checked out the series that it’s the same cast throughout. I had thought it was a different couple every time So now I want to read the rest. Idk if I’ll be able to read along with the club though because I don’t want to make so many book orders.
I’ve realized I could probably try to knock out as much as possible of Nausicaa off my currently reading list before all these new book clubs start too.
I didn’t make the amazing progress in reading I was expecting over the weekend. I did get quite a lot of other things done though, so that’s ok. And I finished the 3 months with reading everyday, which I think is the first time I’ve done that.
Edit: I was wrong, also read daily in the last challenge. So that’s 6 months now!

Can’t believe I made it! I really struggled last challenge so I’m glad I’m back in the groove. My Japanese manga owned that I’ve read percentage went up 2.8% which doesn’t sound like much but I also bought a decent chunk of new volumes… Nonetheless, it’s an improvement!

I continued to read every single day, even if on many of those days it was pretty minimal by my previous challenge standards. I ended up spending a lot of time this challenge either recovering from things or working on other skillsets, but keeping the light on for reading at least a little bit
It feels so long ago, but in this challenge I did finish my first light novel, my first (not extremely short) visual novel, and a few pretty difficult volumes of manga. Traveling really took a good chunk out of march though. I’m still going through all the pictures so I don’t even have any fun stuff to share
