I am considering what to do about reading starting next year. And I wondered how people would feel if someone joined with only an intention to read everyday (or as close as I someone ever get) but in any language available to me (Swedish, English, Japanese) them?

That’s totally fine 
People have tracked their reading in languages other than Japanese, so it’s not so different from that imo.

At this point I’m already reading almost every day, but it’s mostly Satori Reader, and while the immediate vocab lookup is nice, I’m starting to rely on it too much. So I want to add more manga into the mix. After @Akashelia mentioned that they read over 80 manga this year, they inspired me to push harder and aim (slightly) beyond my level. So I made a Natively profile and added a few manga and even light novels already. Sometime this year I’d like to be able to read light novels.
Goals:
Finish all intermediate stories on Satori Reader and all volumes of よつばと, start ちいさな森のオオカミちゃん, 雨と君と, and ケサランなにがしとスープ屋さん.
Currently reading: 台所のドラゴン, また同じ夢を見ていた, シークレット
Finished during this challenge: コナの大冒険, 猫のようなナニカ, よつばと volume 4, 小さな森のオオカミちゃん, 奥日光, 隣人

CandyKale’s Winter Reading Challenge Home Thread
I really want to increase my reading in 2024 so this is a great challenge, thanks @/DIO-Berry for hosting! I also have a lot of manga on my shelf from my trip to Japan, which I occasionally leaf through from time to time, but this is a good push to actually sit down and read it properly.
I’m imagining it will be slow going at first with a lot of word and grammar look up, but hoping to be able to ramp it up later in the year.

MissDagger’s Winter Challenge
My goal for this challenge is fairly simple: try to get more consistently reading in any language I know. I’m natively Swede, became fluent in English in my late teens/early twenties, and have been working on Japanese on and off since my 20s (I’m mid-30s) but only in the last 5ish years have I been more on than off. I am N3, heading into N2, in reading (lets ignore other abilities 
). Basically I’m in the intermediate jungle/bog.
My aim will be to keep it as easeful as possible. That probably means I won’t tackle anything hard in Japanese unless I feel like it. I might end up only reading in English (I barely read anything in Swedish and I haven’t since my early teens), and that is fine. The point will be to read, not what language I do it in nor how much I’m learning from it.
