Well, considering he hints that he knows about Subaru’s ability, he is pretty literally playing 4D chess. I loved his comment that “I hope you’ll take advantage of tonight’s pledge (to tell you the truth) at some point”
Anyway, I’m finally done with this book, 2 months (and about 30 books) later than the original plan.
I feel like, as usual, the plot drags on for much longer than it needs to, but at least it’s not 100% Subaru’s fault this time (still, 99% his fault, he had two (2) conversations with Echidna and never asked the right questions…). Anyway, I really hope Subaru’s attitude will improve now. There are some encouraging signs, but it’s easy to relapse into old habits.
