You also get the message if you try to visit a page that doesn’t exist at all. For example, try to visit WaniKani / Kanji / 欉 (it’s a kanji that’s not taught on WaniKani).

When you’re unsubscribed, items over level 3 essentially don’t exist for you, so it’s basically the same thing.

You’re being redirected. It’s basically what WaniKani has in place of a 404 page.
