I don’t work for WK, and I can’t promise you anything about this year will match last year, but:
Last year, I got the email on January 7 saying “24 hours left in the holiday sale,” then I realized on January 9 I had forgotten to do it, and the website still let me do it under the holiday sale rate.
Hopefully someone who’s been following more closely this year can let you know how long it goes this year.
The sale campaign mail says for lifetime ‘Between now and January 6, 2021’: WaniKani, a kanji learning application by Tofugu, yearly are not mentioned.
Last year, the yearly went on sale at the end of the lifetime sale, apparently.

In the email I received in addition to mentioning the lifetime sale it also gave me a coupon code for 50% off the monthly/yearly subscription. It says the code is useable until February 28th, 2021. With that said, I’ve never been subscribed before so that may have something to do with it.
