Olympians (medalists announced - congrats everyone!)

FennelFox has entered the game!
¡¡¡( •̀ ᴗ •́ )و!!!

Is it okay if I edit the leaderboard to organize it by current level? Some entries are out of order down below level 18 and it’s bugging me XD

:worried:

You’re weird, I like you already. You can join @pensei in doing my taxes if you want to °-°/

Haha! That’s very kind! But I can’t overstate how much I hate doing taxes.

Welcome to the game!

I was just thinking that the other day. Please do! I can’t keep up with the leaderboard on my own so I appreciate everyone helping out

Ahh thats the #1 place I need to visit the next time I go to Japan. Along with Matsue Vogel Park to see さくら the penguin

Okay! I’ve edited by level, then speed, then alphabet.

Now I feel like I need to find some cute panda to visit.

I gave it my best to bring her to my side, I even offered to let her do my taxes, but it seems like she joined you for the fight to come @Lids
I’ll take you on even if @FennelFox is rigging the leaderboard for you :triumph:

I kind of like it by starting level. I get to see how people who started at my level are doing.

Well, I figured that level of specificity ought to be rewarded! Perhaps you leveled in 8 days 10 hours? Do your best!

I agree that that would be good! I wish there were different ways to organize the chart, like an Excel spreadsheet.

Before the WaniKani Community was moved to Discourse, there really was no way to make “tables”, per se, in the forums, so lots of people did use Google Sheets to make stuff like that.
Here is an example of one:

I’m impressed that discourse lets us make tables at all. Google sheets are great, but its so nice to have the leaderboard right in the thread without clicking external links

Edit: @YoungAdam how did u like the post so fast! You some kinda young ninja?

Unfortunately, considering people joined at different times and levels, sorting by original levels wouldn’t necessarily group the people who started the race together. And being able to move up in the ranks every time you level up is a nice incentive to keep people racing till the finish line

Wouldn’t you like to know… :smirk_cat:

Nah, that’s @tmninja, the world’s smartest middle schooler.

Where did you go to get these stats. The page I use only shows stats for current and next level

Aside from one level that went a bit faster im going at exactly 8 days (± 1 hour) for every level :pensive:

Now that you mention it, copying the leaderboard into a CSV google spreadsheet, sorting it, exporting it, opening it with notepad and automatically replacing all , with | is an easy way to sort the entire table. (Atleast if there’s more than a handful of people out of order)

Specificity is the soul of all good communication.

Just got back after a long hiatus from lvl 12 (~588days) and felt the need to start anew. I’ve been trying to get out of a YT and Reddit addiction and so I think that setting this goal along with passing N4 (or even N3, let’s be crazy) by the end of the olympics would be a good way to get into a productive mindset. Hopefully i’ll make it work, just gotta discipline myself :eyes:.

You should probably opt for 60+N3 and if you feel like that’s too much aim for a lower WaniKani level.
Personally I feel like going for 60+N4 would create too much of an imbalance, you’ll have learned most relevant N4 kanji by level 16.

So lets be crazy ~ :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

At level 60 I feel like you should be having a crack at N2.
