My kanji studies have slipped a bit these last few weeks as I’ve had a lot going on, I’ve not been on the forums much for the same reasons. This last level up was 8 days but I’m behind on my vocab lessons so I’ll be playing catch up for the next few days.

Oh wow, @Pep95 already at level 55, so close to level 60 already!
How are you doing with all those fast levels? Are you trying to do them at almost full speed? I just started with my first one but I can’t imagine what my apprentice queue will look like after a few fast levels… do you feel like you are remembering everything as well as on the regular speed levels?

Well I mean… I guess I didn’t know that before because then I would not have had the motivation to pre-write all my own mnemonics before starting this level. I can see it on my dashboard now - did they add a new radical to that level?
Did we lose any other fast levels too recently? Gotta update my WaniKani timing spreadsheet then and move my scheduled “WaniKani level 60 celebration” weekend back a week.

New Radicals
Level 41: 妻 - Wife
Level 49: 荒 - Wild
But apparently 49 is still fast. Guess that means we have to level up fast before they mess up more of the fast levels for us

The fast levels definitely are a big time investment if you want to go full speed. Be sure you actually have that time to spend on them. More than ever, holding yourself to those exact SRS intervals will help you a lot there. Remembering 130 items is not an easy task. Try it out for yourself, but be careful. A safer option would be to split the items in Kanji and radicals + vocab. That way you lengthen things to a week, which will definitely help in slowing things down. I’m going ok so far with 3.5 day levels.
My apprentice queue is currently hot garbage, but it’s the same hot garbage I’m used to from before my break. And if I keep going on I’ll make 60 and then just have the biggest break of them all.

I think slowing down the fast levels so that they are regular speed would probably be the most reasonable thing to do. Right now, I unfortunately don’t feel like being reasonable. Hot garbage apprentice queue and then the biggest lesson break of all time just sounds more appealing
Enough time afterwards to sort through all those leaches. Good luck for your last 5 levels, you’re getting so close, I bet you can already smell the cake
