No audio in lessons or reviews

I use my iPad to work on wanikani but the audio never works. I thought it was because I needed to be on a desktop browser but I still don’t get audio there.

Is it because I’m still on level one? For example, I wanted to get the pronunciation for じょう (above) to see if I need to pronounce it as jou or just joo. I usually visit this great website (OJAD) but it would be nice to just have the audio within wanikani. As you can see from my ss, the audio symbol is grayed out.

Please let me know what I’m doing wrong!
