I have been trying my best to expose myself to Japanese more regularly (outside of watching terrace house 
), in order to reinforce what I’ve learnt on Wanikani.
Today I had a small victory which involved me more or less getting the gist of the meaning of the following headline from NHK easy -
国から１０万円もらうための書類の書き方を外国語で説明
It felt like a bit of a ‘milestone’, as although I quite often have little trouble reading the text (as in I know the readings), I have found it tricky at times to actually comprehend the meaning.
I have started reading and listening to the headlines daily in the hope of increasing those skills, and would recommend as a accessible and free resource for anyone who doesn’t know about it.
