Meaning of 写道 in an email

Hey all, I had a question. I recently received an email, which was forwarded through some folks in Japan, and I saw something I couldn’t figure out.
After the sender’s name was the following kanji: 写道 in the format of "Joe Smith写道: " above the forwarded text.
Google translate, Imiwa and actual google searching gives me no specific answers on what that is supposed to mean. I know the individual meanings of the kanji, but what they mean together like this is a little unclear. Based on the context, and the context of the few other spots I was able to find it online, it appears to mean ‘wrote’, ‘forwarded’, or ‘replied’.
I’m mostly just curious, since I’m enjoying that I’m far enough along that I can read the kanji themselves, but frustrated when I can’t find an answer for what it actually means.
Thanks for any assistance.

写道 seems to be a Chinese word meaning “wrote”
Are you sure it’s Japanese?

Yeah, it looks like there are more people on that thread than I thought. I just found a site with email formatting for different languages, and it does appear to be a Chinese format. My bad.
Thanks for the help.
