Hi,
the other day I watched an Anime in which the people were sending some kind of messages with there smartphones.
One girl asked another 今どこ-?
The answer was 今ココ
I never saw koko in katakana before. Is that correct?

Yep, its correct. You can write it either way.
Sometimes people will write words that are usually written in hiragana in katakana, and this is usually to create a sort of visual emphasis on the word, kind of how we use bold or italics in English, so yes, it’s still correct ^^
She also sent a foto of the place where she was. So I guess it makes a lot of sense if it was to emphasize the word.
Thanks for the infos. I really wanted to know it but I thought it was not important enough to put it into the Japanese Language section
This is still relevant to the Japanese language, so I think it’d be fine either way
