List of kanji that are not included on Wanikani?

Hi folks,
I scoured through past threads on this issue and they all direct you to wanikanistats…However, I cannot view the list of kanji not included on the website since I am not a subscriber currently. If someone could be helpful and paste or screenshot the list of Kanji not included I’d be very grateful. Thank you

I thought you just needed to enter your API key to be able to log in there, and then navigate to the Charts page?

The “kanji not included” depends on which metric you’re referring to anyway. For instance “Joyo kanji not included” or “JLPT N1 kanji not included” etc. Was there a specific category you were interested in?

Some kind of “all kanji not included” would be anywhere from several thousands of kanji to tens of thousands, depending on how you count, but most of those are not commonly seen in Japanese. As such, that information is not available on WK stats.

For some reason those who aren’t subscribed can’t see it correctly. Or at least its how it appears from my API

For some reason, if you’re not subscribed, the charts page doesn’t display properly.

It’s because the API guide asks devs not to show content above lvl 3 for not subscribed users. I think stats could be an exception, especially now that kanji data is public but wkstats is an old resource and no one is doing development on it.

So there are kanji that are “frequently used” but not “JLPT” :eyes: (Since the numbers of both categories don’t match.)

Thanks for the heads up. I totally missed that the additions would continue into August. :eyes: I guess, I could add another month to my WK subscription. :thinking:

You could also re-sub at a later point, like after more items have been added (or just after few days in order to find out how many members there are in free lvl 60 group :joy: )

This is my current plan. I going to have plenty of burns in August, so I was already considering getting one extra month to burn them. After that, things are much slower, so not much point. ^^
