Level 21 before 2021!

14 is definitely easier 13 imo, fewer items and simpler kanji

For the people in level 11 (and above), this video is quite helpful as it explains 別に. It’s entirely in Japanese but has subtitles so it’s also a good listening practice:

Just jumped to level 9!

Definently looks lighter. All I need to do is get past the vocabulary from level 13. I still have 100 or so lessons waiting for me.

Same here. Just landed on level 6 yesterday. It’s overwhelming me. Haha! Good luck on us

Count me in! Maybe for someone this may seem a easy challange, but for me - having a full time job and all - it is quite difficult! I’m currently at level 4 and I appreciate a lot some extra motivation to do well and learn as much as I can!

Welcome! I’m the same - job and kids and Life. We can both do it!

Hey everybody ! I would like to join in as well. Just reached lvl 7 and ready to make it to lvl 21 and beyond till the end of the year.
I don’t have kids, but a full time job and 3 dogs, so let’s see how this is gonna work out

Welcome! You can do it!

Woohoo Level 12 club! Look out @Marifly I’m right on your tail :smiling_imp:

Edit: Just saw you posted earlier about slowing down! When you decide to speed back up… I’ll be ready…

Hurray, made it to level 8! Always feels very good to hit a new level. While 7 was one of my shortest ones yet (due to less vocab), 8 is going to be the opposite. But I did catch up on a lot more vocab during level 7 than usual, so my goal for level 8 is to keep that pace and clear it in less than 14 days, which should be pretty doable.

I’ll join in the fun too!
This week end I was able to read and understand 天気の子 while watching the movie, that was a huge surprise that boosted my motivation.

Currently at 8.4 days/level, but as this is on only two level (excluding fast level) I am not sure how realistic that stat is.
Will see!

Nice, I had the exact same experience  !
I watched the movie a week prior or so to the level and when I learned the energy radical I already suspected 天気 might mean weather. My first experience of that kind and it just felt awesome.
~8 days is definitely doable (seems to be common as well, according to the forums), you just have to be ready for the amount of lessons and reviews. I personally can’t remember that much in one lession session, that’s why I’m at around 12 days/level.

Good job !

I noticed you begann WK almost at the same time I did, so if you don’t mind, I gonna try to keep up with you or in spirit of 少年 manga, beat you.

Same! I watched the movie when it came out, but I had already learned 気 so I managed to look up 天気 beforehand. I was super stoked when it came up in my lessons lol
And 気 just looks cool imo

Well, that’s what I like to hear ! I’ve actually been looking for a “study buddy” of sorts. If you’re interested in how I structure my daily routine and to create a level playing field I wrote a guide on that: How to build an efficient WaniKani schedule (level up as comfortable as possible): the guide.
Other than that I can only say: Let the epic training montage begin!
