JLPT 2019!

Oh, you all are right, and I was wrong, sorry! There is a confirmation email both from Düsseldorf and Stuttgart. Totally swapped this out of my memory

What happened to me is that I got the email about the fact that my application was received and that they would withdraw the money from my account one month later, but it actually never happened. So after checking every week if the fee was being taken out or not I contacted them and they told they realized that my bank was refusing the withdrawal because it came from an unknown source.Luckily they didn’t void my application even if was two weeks before the test and they made me pay by bank money transfer to their account

Lol, I keep that in mind.

I’ll keep an eye out for the confirmation mail.

It depends on how much time you have available for studying but it is definitely doable if you consistently prepare, starting today

I took N5 last July after around a dear of studying and then N4 in December, so my situation was similar. It was a bit stressful since I was traveling a lot but it motivated me to study more than I would have done otherwise. Same goes for the N3 that I took this July. So if you can handle a bit of pressure it should be fine, imo.

Which book does your school teach from, and how far have you got in it?

My school uses Minna no Nihongo. The advice there is, you could pass N5 if you know up chapter 18/19, but you’d be more comfortable with the whole first book under your belt. For N4 understand/have little trouble with up to chapter 40, but you’d be more secure with the whole second book finished. If you have a grammar companion, it is pretty simple to work ahead of your class in these books, especially if your teacher has time to take your questions.

Since everyone is doing a prediction, here’s mine.
I posted this for Jan 2019 JLPT

Both 24th Jan (Dec '17 JLPT) and 22nd Aug (Jul '18 JLPT) JLPT results came out on Wednesday. I predict it to be 23rd Jan

And it came true. Based on this, I predict the result to come out on 21st August since the results come out on the 2nd last Wednesday.

I am getting so nervous at the moment… If I passed the listening part ( for some reason ) I will be really happy because then I can move on to n3

Kind of same. Listening section is the only section I am worried about. I believe if I pass that section, I would have passed N2.

The summer JLPT was a week later than last year. So it might be a week later for the results to post as well.

I personally think they grade it well before they announce the results. So the Sunday being on 7th doesn’t change much in their calculations. A mere 5 day delay shouldn’t change much.
While I maybe proven wrong later, I think they would maintain the pattern.

That is a good point too. I would be happy if my bet was wrong and yours was right. :crossed_fingers:

But I‘d rather be surprised a week earlier than hope for the 22nd and then be disappointed and having to wait one more week.

I wish I didn’t know the date :see_no_evil:
Knowing myself, I will think about it every day until like 2 days before the day of the result, then forget about it and remember again on 2nd September

Same! That’s how I forget to congratulate people on their birthdays.

Actually it says the 27th for those outside Japan…so technically I’m wrong for my own results. :joy:

So then maybe the Japanese results will come out sooner?? :eyes:

Yeah it’s usually a day sooner.
