How long have you been studying Japanese please?
Thank you!
Hhmmmm…that’s a bit tough to answer. I’ve been learning a bit on the side for some years already. But really focused on it for about a year before the exam.
Sorry if this seems out of place here lol, but I saw your post about AP japanese and wanted to ask about it, but the thread is now closed and pms are gone. What textbook did you use for the exam if any? What JLPT level would you say it is around? I am planning on taking it next year. I passed the N5 with 180/180 in December (trying to tie this back into the topic of the actual thread).
If you passed the N5 with a perfect score, you likely could have passed N4 if you took it in December. I’ve heard the AP Japanese is between N4 and N3, but this is based completely on anecdotal evidence (1) (2). You’ll be fine for the exam; just do a lot of practice questions and keep up with your WK reviews.
I used Cheng and Tsui’s Strive for a 5, and this is the only textbook available on the market (to my knowledge). I don’t actually own the book, I just used my teacher’s copy. I remember it as being pretty accurate to the test.
