Japanese Sentence a Day Challenge

今日は 今までいい日じゃなかった。 :confounded:
でも今夜、美味しい晩ご飯を食べて「Dimension 20」の1エピソードを見て 寝前にヨガをするつもりです。
楽しみにしている。 :relaxed:

今週の初めに大変忙しかったので、昨日とおととい何にも書きませんでした。しかし、今夜はもう少し時間があって、何か書こうと思っています。:slight_smile:

童話を二つ読んでから、また「とびら」で勉強するつもりでした。とびらのサイトで手塚治虫という人気な漫画家についてのビデオを見て、手塚先生が生み出したキャラクターを知っているため、ちょっと懐かしくなって、泣いてしまいました。 :sweat_smile:

そんな日、今日はでした。

At the beginning of this week I was terribly busy so I didn’t write anything yesterday and the day before. However, tonight I have a little more time so I thought of writing something.

After reading 2 fairy tales, I decided to study with Tobira again. On the Tobira website I watched a video about a popular manga artist called Tezuka Osamu and because I knew the characters Mr Tezuka created, I got a little nostalgic and cried. :sweat_smile:

Such was my day today.

昨日のパーティーで飲まなかったです。でも、素晴らしかったですね。

I did not drink at the party yesterday. Nevertheless, it was great, eh.

The particle for marking the location of an action is で, so パーティーで.

Yes, work was rough. My colleagues and I made a mistake and upset a client. But one of my colleagues was able to do some damage control and saved the day!

1。面接が受かったのが嬉しくないこともないけど、私の一番得意分野じゃないから、うまくできるかどうかは不安です。

2。就活は頑張りさえ続けば、仕事につかないことはない。

いい習慣を養うために 数週間前にアプリをダウンロードした。どんな活動でも打ち込める。例えば、私のリストには 毎週3時間のヨガをするとか 毎日グラス8杯の水を飲むといったことが加わっている。

I downloaded an app to help with developing good habits a few weeks ago. You can enter any kind of activity. For example, on my list there’s things like doing yoga for 3 hours every week and drinking 8 glasses of water every day.

昨日は金曜日だったので、いつもながら同僚と飲酒に行きました。ビールを三杯飲んでも酔うことができなかったけども、翌日(今日は)もちろん、気分がよくないです。しかし、二日酔いがないんですよ!

Yesterday was Friday so as usual I went drinking with my coworkers. Even though I had 3 beers, I couldn’t get drunk, but the following day (that is today) of course, I feel bad. However, I don’t have a hangover!

日本語のマンガや童話などを読む頃はロールプレーをすることが結構好きだから、主人公と他のキャラクターの言葉を読みながら色々な声をしています。 :sweat_smile:

When reading things like Japanese manga or fairy tales I quite like to role-play so while reading the words of the protagonist and other characters I do various voices. :sweat_smile:

Yes absolutely, that was one of my first sentences I’ve ever written, so I’m very much new to both the forum and grammar.

Two minor points of feedback (if you want any - if not, just tell me to buzz off):

Considering you’ve already established past tense in the first sentence it feels more natural to use the past tense おいしかった in the second. It also feels a bit strange to use ね there, it feels a bit as if you presume the reader already knows your breakfast was tasty. It wouldn’t be strange to just not use a sentence ender at all there, but if you want to use one I’d personally choose よ over ね here.

thank you! This is my first time in this thread…and I’m nowhere near as comfortable using the language as I should be. But yeah…that sounds way more natural.
