Ahh, that really does sound like a double-edged sword, when you work on a story you really really like, then it’s a dream job, but then you do the ones you don’t care about but have a deadline and there’s just no way to say “nope, not now” xddd
Plus, the salary would probably bring me to the verge of despair, but you know, working on the magazine layout or being a columnist still sound really fun to me ^^
I stg I’d love to work on a team project with other people to make a zine. I reached out to the makers of two so far, one hasn’t responded and one hasn’t been looking for any extra submissions, so that’s still on my bucket list. If you had any cool ideas, let me know!
Just in case: don’t expect stuff from Xenoblade X in terms of plot being similar to Xenoblade 2: it’s a completely different type of a story, more focusing on dozens of individual sideplots than one grandiose story and if you’re expecting Chapter 7 from Xeno 2 or Chapter 5 from Xeno 3, you will get disappointed. That being said, the story of Xenoblade X is great in its own way, biolchemelectromechatronics, STEM kids could appreciate the direction the story is going ^^
