Hello all. This weeks writing activity did not require us to describe any pictures of family, pets, or friends. Instead, we talked about our daily schedules while only using our limited 4 weeks of vocabulary. We were introduced to verbs this week. I must say, I am still enjoying learning from this course. Though, I wish we were implementing kanji into our sentences. Its all good, one step at a time.
With all that said, would you like translate my simple/kanji-less post? Any critiques and corrections would be greatly appreciated. Corrections in hiragana only please.
โI normally wake up at 5:30 am. Sometimes I wake up at 6 am. I donโt eat breakfast. I go to work at 7 am every day. I usually go home at 2 pm. 2 pm is early. Everyday I study Japanese at home.โ
Good job! To add anything, Iโd say something like "ใใใใฏใตใ ใใใใ๏ผใใฏใใซใใใพใ.โ ใใใฆใ is no problem but sounds a bit strange to my ears here, its not used as commonly in this kind of situation, ใตใ ใ has a bit more of that โas a habit/customโ sort of meaning to it.
For the second use of ใใใฆใใI might instead opt for ใใใซใใฏใใซใใใใพใใ More akin to โI go home at about 2โ, in a similar way here the use of ใใใฆใ sounds a bit strange so I thought swapping out it, and not repeating the use of ใตใ ใ from before might be best!
In the ใซใใฏใฏใใใงใ sentence, Iโd say the ใซใใฏ is unnecessary, as the reader can assume youโre talking about the hour being an early time to return home but otherwise it looks great, and appropriate for your level!
@Cocorittle This is hilarious. I actually love breakfast, but not in the morning. Due to my limited vocab and grammar skills, all I could muster was, โI donโt eat breakfast.โ
@raephe & @bobo343 just the right critique/input I was seeking. Thank you both!
Would somebody be willing to add the Kanji to their post just to see what that would look like to compare them both? (Just for reference to help me learn. This is super helpful) ใใใใจใ
Hopefully this is right, sorry if I made any mistakes
(Note: jisho.org says ๅคงๆต is usually written in kana alone, so I didnโt use the kanji for that)
For a while, I have been slowly learning kanji and vocabulary with no idea how to put it all together. In the past 4 weeks, I have learned a lot regarding grammar from my class and all of you. Thanks.
