I am Back from over 6 years

So i started this in 2016 and was on and off for a year or so… and like most quit i came back to forums once in a while but essentially last reviews was in 2018.

The furthest I have made it is level 7 with insane reviews and lessons… so now Im back and planning on continuing the rest (lets see if its possible) anyone else have such a long hiatus and mange to complete it?

Tried searching for the tapermonkey link that changes webpages english words that you have burned into the kanji but seems thats gone

That’s basically a brand new start, so you should be fine.

Good luck!

I certainly have the hiatus, but I haven’t completed Wanikani. I certainly will, this time though. You can absolutely do it too. It’s not difficult work, just a lot of work.

I dunno if it’s possible but I’m in the same boat, I started in 2016 and got to about level 30-something by 2019 before life got in the way of learning Japanese, but I’m starting again now my life’s a bit more stable, resetting to level 1. がんばって!

Hopefully it is as I’m in the same boat, though with a shorter break. I started wanikani in 2020 to avoid lockdown boredom, got to level 19 then stopped in 2021 when life got busy and I was overwhelmed by numbers of reviews. Now starting again from level one and being more sensible about how many lessons I do. We can do this :muscle:

update: level 10 passed, was a breeze until level 7, everything came back immediately. Starting to get to a few kanji and words I didn’t know or have completely forgotten now though.
