How's everyone like the new layout?

Here’s what it looks like when you have a bunch of lessons too! (I assume over 100)

The front page is totally broken for me. I’m on Chrome, and everything is pushed to the right side. Boo. Everything else loads.

I think it’s good! I really like the cartoons, although I know a lot of people think they take up too much space…
I think a good way to fix this would be to have a setting where you can change the layout (kind of like Gmail’s density settings). For example, one option could be called spacious, and would be the current layout, while another could be called compact, with the information and data being more front-and-centre as opposed to the images (esp. on mobile), etc. That way people can choose. And again, those are just examples.

i like it. good job wanikani team :beers:

mine is really weird. all of the text and links are pushed to the right side of the page and i cant read anything. i also cant seem to fix it. ive reloaded the web page on my pc, restarted my computer, and even messed with the pages zoom but nothing works. help???

Do you have any scripts enabled? If so, probably one or more of them broke the layout.

If you’re on desktop, try hitting CTRL+F5. This will reload from the server, and not use any cached style files. If you are on mobile (or Mac), try clearing the cache manually. You can google it.

Edit: From what I see, Command+Option+R is the equivalent for Mac.

I like it, I’m all for big cute cartoons over boring analytical numbers. Also as someone who doesn’t use scripts, the upcoming review info is quite useful.

I like it so far! Plus, the illustrations are really cute hehe

I don’t like it at all. On a mobile device the buttons are HUGE but the actual useful information (the number of lessons/reviews) is tiny. This gives me less information than before.
To see the upcoming review numbers I have to scroll past the radical and Kanji buttons. I just started the vocab for level 14, don’t care about the level 15 stuff yet.
Before, everything I needed to know was at a glance.

I use Tsurukame for lessons/reviews, and only use the desktop for the forums (fora?), so I am pretty ambivalent.

how would i disable them?

Click the Tampermonkey icon (or whatever script manager you’re using) and toggle them off. Alternately right-click the icon and click “options”. This is for Chrome, but I’m sure other browsers are similar if you’re using a different browser.

Same here. But the forecast is nice with AlliCrab gone and the detailed forecast in Tsurukame not yet implemented.

I loved it! i really love all the new colours, makes my learning time more pleasent
