I’ve included the whole sentence for context. I have not been able to find the character after 福 (in quotes at the beginning of the sentence) in any Japanese or Chinese dictionaries. Can someone tell me what it is? Does the word in quotes mean something like lucky wooden masu? It was on a package for a gold 招き猫 sitting in a black and red masu.

It’s an alternative (kokuji) version of 升.

Awesome, thank you. I’m not sure why that was not coming up for me.

Feeling a silly for not having searched ふくます since I apparently had all of the information I needed to get there.
