I was watching a YouTube video about Gold Ship: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zd1fmL8bFGQ
Around the one hour mark, I saw this in the closed captions:

Please help me, fellow WaniKani-ers…what is that third character? Also, clearly he’s asking something along the lines of “Genki desu ka” but what verb form is teru?
Thanks in advance!

I’d say it’s し
元気してる
However, if that’s the case – then it’s odd, because jisho.org doesn’t describe 元気 as a suru-verb (verbal noun in WK terms)…
Update: watched the video – it’s not around one hour mark – it’s around one minute mark!
And yes, he clearly said 元気してる
I guess, 元気 can be used as する verb / verbal noun as well…
P. S. Btw, YouTube allows you to timestamp videos – you pause the video right before the moment you want to show, then right-click on the video and select “Copy video URL at current time”:

It’s more that you can drop particles in casual speech.

Ah, I see, so the full version would be 元気をしている?

Indeed it is し
I remember seeing books using that style.
I found this YouTube video showing how to write it.
