Has anyone actually reached level 60?

I think my estimated time is a bit off, given that i took multiple years off WK

Finish WaniKani … or die (of old age) trying.

Thats what I was thinking (2-3 levels per month) to be a good pace as well.

But then how many new lessons per day would that translate to, for 2 and 3 levels per month respectively?

If you look at the wkstats page and use the toggles on the progress bar you can do the maths:

  • Goal lvl (eg 6): 923 items
  • Current lvl (eg 3): 374 items
  • Difference = 549 items

  • 549 items ÷ 30 days = 18 items per day

What is this level 60 you speak of?

Holy cow. It’s been 47 days since you got to lvl 60?! It feels like it happened just yesterday! I can’t believe I’ve been here this long already.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. Kanji aren’t even real and there is no such place as Japan!

I don’t see how this difers from what I mentioned. I did say 14 days/level are in the okay range, and that’s still 2 levels per month.

My % stayed pretty consistent pre and post breaks. Right there in the 55-70% range. (I just had a 64%) Pretty garbage I know. Learning has always been a struggle for me (I was told back in junior high that I have a learning disability. meh) The low percentages (and twice failed N5) make it really hard to stay motivated, but I continue to struggle on. Finding time is also hard, especially after becoming a father, and getting a better job (where I can’t do WK during the day anymore)
I should have not had a couple starts and quits many many years ago when I was younger and actually had the time and money.

Idk what year you started because I’m not calculating that out but I feel you, I feel you…

Careful, as levels 1 and 2 are twice as faster as normal ones. You’ve probably notice that lvl 3 will take longer.

For a 10 day level, that would be around 15 new items per day. For a 15 day level, that would be 10 new items/day. These numbers are just an average. Some levels might have more or less items than that.

I think an important thing to always keep in mind is how much time you have to devote to WK. I used to have a job and school so I could do the fast leveling and reviews throughout the day but I never interrupted my sleep for it.

Now I have a job where I’m absent from the internet and nonstop busy for 12+ hours a day so what I do with my remaining time is precious. It’s been hard fitting WK back in there especially when I’m just backtracking but I don’t wanna be a quitter. Plus there’s some kanji in the 50s I’d like to learn since they’re so common but it’s been nice just reviewing so far lol.

There is no Level 60. Don’t believe anyone in this thread. It’s all just a gigantic conspiracy by everyone for you to pony up more money.

Quick. Escape while you still can. They’ve already got me, but it’s not too late for you.
