Forum Member Status

So I was looking up the requirements to have Member status (Trust Lv 2) to edit Wiki’s and whatnot.

  • Visiting at least 15 days, not sequentially
  • Casting at least 1 like
  • Receiving at least 1 like
  • Replying to at least 3 different topics
  • Entering at least 20 topics
  • Reading at least 100 posts
  • Spend a total of 60 minutes reading posts

I’ve had all of these for a few days now but I’m still stuck on basic membership. I also find it interesting that I’ve been WK Lv 5 for ~4 days now and my profile still hasn’t updated. Anyone else experiencing problems like this or just me?
The only thing I can think of for the member status problem is the “15 Days, not sequentially” part. Is it saying they must not be sequentially, or is it saying that it can be not sequentially?

Try loggin out and back in - that will certainly work for your level number, not sure about the rest.

Yup, that did it for the level. Guess I’ll just have to keep working on the Member status bit.

There must be a time period in which that list must be achieved - perhaps you have not yet done them all within a short enough time.

Edit: Have just seen that you only joined Aug 2nd, so unless the period is 3 weeks and you just missed out…

Being converted to member status happens automatically. So according to the forum software (discord I believe) you haven’t fulfilled all the requirements yet. I guess discord could have accidentally broken that system, with some kind of update recently. (I have no idea if it has been updated recently and if the WK forums are automatically updated too… (or if WK have to update manually and if they have) I honestly don’t know much of anything about the forum software.) So my guess would be that there is something you still have to do. But hopefully someone more knowledge about the forum software will see this and answer.

Far as I know I covered all the bases.

I’ve just re-read the Discourse info - you should be able to edit a Wiki in someone else’s post as a basic member, but you would need Regular - Trust lvl 3 to create your own wikified post.

It does look like you’ve got most things covered, but this one item is not clearly addressed in your posted image:

The only other thing I can think is that WK admin have altered the standard Discourse goalposts (I know PMs were suspended after an incident).

They did indeed. I don’t really know what are the actual numbers though. I remember someone else having the same issue as OP.

Anyway, I think you’ll need just a little more time on the forum.

As far as I know from other posts WK has changed the Wiki Edit goalpost to Member status.
Maybe I just need to lurk less and actually post token replies in other threads more. Who knows.

I’m pretty sure that’s the default for Discourse.

But

That might be it, actually! I just checked and you only replied to 2 different threads. Your own threads do not count!

Curse these habits from a lifetime of lurking.

Word association is even easier! (there are no rules)

Poll thread is even easier! (there’s no logic!)

But then you’d have to have the poll thread unmuted…

Nah, just post once and run away. :stuck_out_tongue:
