I wanted to ask you people, about how to structure the vocab list.
I didn’t think that one through clearly and it remained a template of sorts. I guess, we could either:
-have one list for each release and then vocab sheets for each track? or we could
-try to keep it together as one list, like now but better, where we have vocab sheets for each CD release, but use spacing and lines to keep tracks separate?
I ended up not using it much last time, and I know I’m a uneven user also with the book clubs, sometimes going strong, sometimes skipping it all…but how about you?
What needs and wishes do you have for a vocab list, just in general?
Ah, I was sort of getting that from the book club XD, but then again, that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t want something different from an audio only club!
I think that after this round of conversation on the topic, I might have to do another round down the line to see what has shifted or changed.
But, just know - and just not you I mean - but all of you participating or wanting to do so in this club, that it’s always fine to bring stuff up that you want to have addressed in this thread!
Or just general help forward in how to participate. Just post a question in this main thread! <3
I’m with Nicole here; I don’t typically make much use of the vocab sheets. If I were going to use it, I would probably go with option #1, one list for each release. Mostly just due to the “heavy” nature of the vocab used. Someone with strong listening skills and poor vocabular would likely find quite a bit to add to the sheet. Having a column to list the specific time that word is heard would be really cool as well. Wouldn’t be as fuzzy as a book’s page number, either.
That’s the thing I realized. as someone that knows a lot, I don’t add a lot. It’s the opposite. I use vocab sheets to make a point of words I don’t know, or sometimes, struggle to remember, same difference! XD
In any case, I don’t post lengthy vocab sheets on each chapter. Just words here and there.
And, maybe, me just speculating, is that it just for not be okay to keep all words noticed in one vocab sheet fore ease of navigating? But, you’re right, it’s not a system that allows you to build (second generation thread users or such). I just, feel like, is there even one coming here?
or is that just making things more complicated than needs be?
You’re probs right. Just make a lot of templates to use
I just haven’t been that forward thinking always, so if I do that, it’s not a bit deal to administre really, compared to a single thread. and it gives clear signals of what vocab discoveries goes where.
Sort of end of discussion, in the meaning it settles it in a way.
Thanks for helping out. I don’t have a strong idea for when’s a good time. I’ve got the stuff and I’ve complete CD2. But it’s really about the rest of you I feel?
